Workforce planning

It is unknown how much time dual anaesthetic and ICM CCT holders will spend working in each speciality. Single CCT holders may also cover the other specialty where there is overlap in skills. The extent of each is not known. This has an impact on workforce planning. In turn, this impacts on rural services and smaller hospital trusts particularly, as they would like the flexibility offered by people with dual CCT to provide both ICU service and other services.
