Telemedicine changes GP roles and functions

The use of new telemedicine technologies allows for care to be provided remotely and for more proactive monitoring of patients to encourage self-care. The GP and the practice team workforce would need to be trained to implement, monitor and use these technologies. This may lead to some roles/functions changing and also could allow for remote procedures to be conducted.
