Pressures on food supplies result in price rises and poorer diets

‘Feeding nine billion people in 2050 with an environment that cannot sustain six billion today is a challenge of great proportions.’ (The Economist, 2011) This will be felt first and hardest in the less developed world, but UK may not be immune. The health effects would increase demand for nursing.
