Electronic records

Electronic records provide greater continuity of care and assist in providing a more holistic picture of a patient’s history. Growth in electronic prescribing and telecare, and improved links between patients and primary care, reduce demand in acute settings through prevention and management of conditions in the community. The reduction in paperwork from better use of IT also saves time for healthcare staff.
