Change in importance of communication needs
There may be a positive change in the relative importance of speech, language and communication needs in the political and commissioning agenda.
If there is, the role and public profile of SLTs could be raised. The raising of the profile of SLCN as well as the work that SLTs undertake have both gained support through the Bercow Report and the Hello campaign. Perhaps the impact of such research and efforts will raise the relative importance of SLCN.

Proposed workforce impact
- If prioritised, this could lead to an increase in workforce supply in response to increased demand.
- An increased awareness may lead to increasing early interventions and SLTs working more closely with colleagues in early years education.
- If not prioritised, a decrease in workforce supply is likely.
